Village Winter Overnight Parking Ban Now in Effect

VILLAGE OF ALDEN — The Village of Alden Department of Public Works and local law enforcement remind residents that the annual winter overnight street parking restriction officially took effect on November 1.

Under Village Code Chapter 200, parking any vehicle on village streets between the hours of 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM is strictly prohibited. The seasonal restriction remains in effect seven days a week through April 1.

The ban allows municipal highway crews and snowplow operators to safely clear streets, cul-de-sacs, and road shoulders curb-to-curb during lake-effect snowstorms without vehicle obstructions. Vehicles parked on village roadways in violation of the ordinance are subject to ticketing and towing at the owner's expense.
