Civic Brief: Ambulance Transition on Track for Dec. 1

ALDEN — Emergency medical services across the Town and Village of Alden remain fully operational under the Town Board's temporary contract extension with the Lancaster Volunteer Ambulance Corps (LVAC), which runs through November 30.

Effective December 1, Mercy Flight / Mercy Ambulance is scheduled to assume dedicated 24/7 Advanced Life Support (ALS) emergency ambulance coverage for the township. Under the municipal agreement, Mercy Flight will stage a fully equipped ambulance staffed by an on-duty paramedic and EMT directly at the Alden Town Highway Department facility on Wende Road.

Alden volunteer fire companies continue to provide immediate first-response emergency medical care on scene throughout both phases.
