ALDEN — Students at St. John the Baptist School took a break from their daily routine on Friday, Sept. 25, to take part in the school’s third annual Color Run fundraiser.

Students in pre-K through eighth grade ran half-mile laps around the church grounds. At checkpoints along the way, parent volunteers showered the runners with colored powder.

Activities like the Color Run bring out the best in everyone, when a child’s mind and body work together to enhance the experience.

The weather was beautiful, the students were colorful, and the day was a great way to end the first month of the school year.
