Supervisor Presents 2027 Preliminary Budget

ALDEN - Operating under New York State’s statutory 2% property tax cap, Supervisor Colleen Pautler officially delivered the Town of Alden’s 2027 Preliminary Budget to Town Clerk Alyssa Cooper ahead of final town board review and mandated public hearings.

The preliminary budget establishes projected operating revenues, debt service schedules, and property tax levies across all municipal funds, including the Town General Fund, Highway Department maintenance and winter snow operations, and special fire protection and refuse districts.

Public hearings on the preliminary figures are scheduled at Alden Town Hall (3311 Wende Road) ahead of the state-mandated November 20 budget adoption deadline. Property owners will have the opportunity to review proposed line items, including anticipated increases in road salt contracts and equipment upkeep and deliver public comments before the Town Board takes a final vote to adopt the 2027 tax levies.

Detailed copies of the 2027 Preliminary Budget summary are available for public inspection at the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours and published via the town’s municipal portal.
